These are the final instructions for the race.

Parking –

Saturday – normal parking fee apply £3 per day

Sunday – There is a free for competitor only car park, when you arrive turn into the normal visitor centre entry just turn right keep going straight on into the competitor car park on the fire road. We will give you a free parking ticket to use in that car park. – Please don’t park in the main car park you will be charged.

Saturday 2nd November 2013– Forest and stages open to ride as normal.

Sunday 3rd November 2013 – Times are subject to change depending on rider numbers and weather conditions

Practice Starts

  • 9.00am    All stages open with Medics and Marshals on all stages

Practice finish

  • 11.30am Stage 1 Closed
  • 12.00am Stage 2 Closed
  • 12.30pm Stage 3 Closed

Racing starts

  • 12.15pm  Stage 1 Opens – Close 2.15pm
  • 1.05pm    Stage 2 Opens – Close 3.05pm
  • 1.45pm    Stage 3 Opens – Close 3.30pm

**The organisers reserve the right to change this schedule if they feel necessary. If this happens riders will be kept fully informed by PA announcements or at Stage Start.**

The full loop is around 10 miles and takes around 1 ½ to 2 hours to complete.

You can practice the stages in any order but must do stages 1,2 & 3 in order for the race.

Uplifts
Flyup Downhill who run the uplift service in the FoD you cannot use this service on race day. Any one found to be using the uplift will be disqualified from the race.

Safety

  • Open or full face helmets must be worn and the strap done up at all times during the race.
  • Bar End plugs must in end of your handle bars
  • No Helmet cameras can be used in racing
  • No pushing back up the stage, please use a fire roads by each stage to repeat a section of the stage.
  • The tracks are taped in places these are for safety to keep going in the right direction please don’t cut the tape.

Registration
You need to come and sign on the start sheet and collect your number board.
(If you’re under 16 you need your parent or guardian to sign for you.)

Saturday 4.00pm to 5.00pm – Outside Pedal A bike Away Café.
(Optional – to help save time on Sunday you can pick up your number board on Saturday)

From 11.00am on Saturday you can pick up a map of the stages during the day from the One Industries Easyup by the café.

Sunday 3rd November 2013

Registration Opens 8.00am
Registration Closes at 11.00am
You need to come and sign on the start sheet and collect your number board.

(If you’re under 16 you need your parent or guardian to sign for you.)

You will be given a sticker for your bike with all your stage start times.

Note – Please do not cut or put stickers on the boards – you will be disqualified from the race.

On Sunday you must have sign on and collected your number board by 11.00am to race.

Start Times will be posted in Registration on Sunday Morning.

You will be given a start time for each stage.

The transitions are not timed but you need to arrive at the start of each stage on time to keep everyone in categories. There is not time penalty for arriving late but you must arrive before the stages closes.

You need to be at the start of Stage 1 at the required time its around 4 miles ride to stage 1 following the blue route which will bring you to the start, from the bottom of stage 1 all the stages are sign posted,
