There is no camping allowed at the visitor center but there are quite few places to stay locally.

The one we recommend is the fountain inn and lodge they have B&B rooms and also a bunk house with prices starting from £13 per night.

The Fountain Lodge – offering hostel accommodation at affordable prices

Just yards from the Fountain Inn, we’re delighted to offer lodge accommodation for the more budget-conscious traveller. Set in what was once the village bakehouse, the Fountain Lodge provides bunkhouse lodgings in the perfect setting to explore the delights of The Forest of Dean.

Accommodation for groups of 9 to 32 people

Full-size bunk beds are provided in dormitories for groups of 2, 3, 4, 9 and 12 people. Prior arrangements can also be made to accommodate two less able guests at The Fountain Inn. Mattresses and pillows are provided, but sleeping bags and towels should be brought with you. Alternatively, a ‘bed kit’ can be rented for a small fee.

Full self-catering facilities, or join us in the Fountain Inn

The Fountain Lodge offers full self-catering facilities, with a large, fully-equiped kitchen and an adjoining dining area and lounge, with television. Or, your group is welcome to join us for meals, including breakfast, in The Fountain Inn itself.

Rates include electricity and hot showers

Our prices are fully inclusive, with no added charges for electricity or hot water. The lodge is fully central heated and double glazed, making it perfect at any time of the year.
